If you've never recorded in a studio before, it's normal to feel unsure about how the day will go.
Here's what typically happens during a session at Fire Wave Sound.
Preparation makes the biggest difference.
Before your session, we'll confirm:
The more rehearsed you are, the more time we can spend capturing performances instead of figuring things out.
When you arrive, we start with setup.
That includes:
This part isn't rushed. Getting things right early saves time later.
Once levels feel good and everyone's comfortable, we move into real takes.
Depending on the project, we may:
We'll review takes as we go and keep what feels right.
The goal isn't perfection — it's strong, confident performances.
Sessions are focused, but they're not chaotic.
We pause when needed, adjust tones if something isn't sitting right, and keep the momentum steady. If something feels off, we address it while everything is still set up.
Once tracking is complete, we move into editing, mixing, and mastering.
You'll receive rough mixes to review, and we'll make revisions as needed to lock in the final sound before delivery.
The studio is there to capture what you already know how to do.
Fire Wave Sound works with bands and artists throughout Savannah, Richmond Hill, Pooler, and Coastal Georgia.
